Across North America ladybug speciescomposition is changing. Over the past twenty years native ladybugsthat were once very common have become extremely rare. During thissame time ladybugs from other parts of the world have greatlyincreased both their numbers and range. This is happening veryquickly and we don’t know how, or why, or what impact it will haveon ladybug diversity or the role that ladybugs play in keepingplant-feeding insect populations low.We're asking you to join us in finding out where all theladybugs have gone so we can try to prevent more native speciesfrom becoming so rare.Features:• Use your smartphone to photograph ladybugs, record the habitatin which they are found and the location.• Send your photographed ladybugs to the Lost Ladybug Projectwebsite to help us identify their species and track theirpopulations.• Keep a record of your spotted ladybugs right on yourphone.
